Artist Statement

Hiking in the mountains and along the coastline of California has been a lifelong source of inspiration and beauty. Looking through the viewfinder, I try to capture the scope of larger vistas such as Emerald Bay at Lake Tahoe as well as more intimate views like dogwood along the Merced River. Travels to other lands have expanded my appreciation of varied terrains. Nature photography is more than a personal journey; I hope that these landscapes will ignite in the viewer my wonderment and appreciation of the natural world.
